Buttercream Cake Decorating Classes
Modified Wilton Course #1
This first course is based on Buttercream. Decorating basics is your starting point and will cover topics such as fundamentals in baking a cake, making buttercream icing using the Wilton method and using a decorating bag. From there you will use a variety of decorating tips to make stars, borders, flowers and pipe messages. How to cut and Fill your cake and cover in buttercream and create straight edges. Crumb coating and
finishing off ,have you ever had a problem filling your cake with jam or any other filling lemon curd ect and not having it spread or leak out the sides ? Well in this class we will show you how to master the skill off filling your cakes. Do you want to know how to do the perfect rosette ??? In this class you will learn how to pipe not only rosettes but many piping techniques that you can use to decorate your cakes and cupcakes.
Do you want to make perfect white buttercream ?? We use the wilton American Buttercream Method which will not only be perfectly white but also perfectly stable.
The course runs for two hours, once a week, for four weeks.
Your course fee includes a kit which you will need for your classes.
Class runs for 2 hours once a week
Please bring an apron and wash cloth to your first class, nothing else is required for 1st lesson
